Some clinical areas will be transitioning from the Lifepak 20 to the Lifepak 35 monitor/defibrillator. To support this transition, iSim is developing brief, interactive learning resources to help staff become familiar with key device functions.

The first resource will focus on using the Lifepak 35 as an AED. This experience will guide learners through the AED workflow, including following device prompts, allowing rhythm analysis, resuming CPR and delivering a shock when indicated.

Additional Lifepak 35 resources are coming soon through the UAB Medicine Learning System and Clinical Simulation website, including:

  • Manual defibrillation
  • Synchronized cardioversion
  • Non-invasive pacing
  • Lifepak 35 shift check

These resources are designed to support safe, consistent use of the new device and help staff feel more prepared before using the Lifepak 35 in patient care.

Watch for upcoming Lifepak 35 iSim experiences in the learning system and on the Clinical Simulation website.
