UAB Clinical Simulation joined UAB Medicine Workforce Development at Barber Motorsports Park March 27 to help steer the Hands-Only CPR Challenge, an interactive, hands-on activity station pitting participants against the clock to perform one minute of chest compressions. Their patients? Healthcare manikins equipped with real-time feedback technology.
In collaboration with the Center for Patient Flow’s Conflict Response Team, UAB Clinical Simulation conducted an in situ (on-site) Code Q simulation at UAB Highlands to evaluate and support the implementation of an expanded de-escalation response model with acute inpatient care settings.
UAB Clinical Simulation is known for equipping learners with confidence, teamwork and hands-on experience. Sometimes, however, that mission becomes a bit more literal.
