Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) use can feel routine, but contamination often happens during the small steps—what you touch, what you remove first and where your hands go next. 

The PPE iSim uses an enhanced respiratory precautions scenario to walk learners through putting on and removing PPE safely. The skills are broadly applicable beyond enhanced respiratory precautions and can support practice with other isolation types. 

Learners practice: 

• Putting PPE on in the correct sequence  
• Removing PPE without contaminating themselves 
• Protecting clean surfaces and equipment  
• Recognizing when hand hygiene is needed
• Applying the same safe habits across different isolation precautions
