A Lifepak 20e defibrillator monitor

Delivering life-saving care to specialized patient populations requires targeted training and precision. To further equip health-care providers with the skills necessary for treating Alabama’s most vulnerable patients, we are excited to announce the launch of our Neonatal AED simulation module.

This new virtual simulation module provides health-care professionals with the opportunity to virtually operate Lifepak 20e, specifically with the intent as an automated external defibrillator (AEDs) for neonatal patients. Neonatal emergencies require fast, accurate intervention, and this module offers step-by-step guidance, allowing learners to gain confidence by practicing a low volume, high risk skill in a simulated environment.

This module is designed to be completed in two to four minutes, delivering high-impact learning without requiring extended time away from patient care.

Access the Neonatal AED module now through the UAB Clinical Simulation portal and soon through the UAB Learning Management System (Healthstream).
